The Go>Connect community enjoyed a day out at The Country Mill on Saturday, October 3rd. Everyone teamed together to make our apple picking go well. We were able to coordinate Covid-safe rides for those that needed it, individuals invited friends, and we enjoyed talking and picking apples with those invited. Volunteers, Ross and Julie Brower, setting up the donuts and cider in an easy way to find and in a way that made it comfortable for everyone and we were able to enjoy the time of fellowship with one another. We had around 31 people attend the apple picking event. Everyone seemed to have had a good time. We received a few messages after the event describing how much people enjoyed the time. We were able to meet and welcome all the people who drove to the orchard individually and orient them to the orchard. People seemed grateful to have an activity we could do together and yet follow safety guidelines.
