Mission Experiences
Thank you for visiting Global Outreach’s Missionary Experiences page! As you know, the past 12 months have been an interesting season for all of us. Due to the global pandemic, 2020 mission trips were postponed, and now in 2021, we still are uncertain when travel will be encouraged and safe for all. As a result, there are no 2021 trips being planned.
We’ll keep this page updated as soon as we are able to schedule and plan trips in the near future. For now, you can take a look at the trip opportunities we’ve made available in the past to discover where God might have you go in the future!
Short-term trips are designed to advance relationships with our missionaries and Church-to-Church Partners, and to give you the opportunity to experience another culture and broaden your worldview.

The program not only gives participants the opportunity to live and volunteer in Ireland, but also to be directly involved in the Irish culture. Volunteers work full time in Foundation In Christ Ministries, Ltd.’s Irish youth charity, which involves volunteering in the cafe and also assisting in our youth outreach retreats throughout the year.
Student Trips
Not everyone can pack up all their belongings and become a career missionary, but many of us can go on short-term mission trips. If you’ve never tried it, we encourage you to consider these benefits of taking the compassion of Jesus to another culture:
- You will encounter God’s heart.
- You will expand your limited perspective.
- You will become more grateful.
- You will discover spiritual family and lasting partnerships.
- You will expand the Kingdom of Jesus.
Of course, not everyone can hop on a plane and go to a foreign country for 10 days. Some people have health limitations or family pressures that make travel impractical. Don’t feel guilty if you are in that category. Instead, remember that those who can’t go to the mission field physically can go through prayer or financial support. And the reward will be the same.
When David defeated the Amalekites, he gave the same reward to the warriors who stayed behind to watch the baggage as he gave to the frontline soldiers who wielded swords (see 1 Sam. 30:22-25).
So, whether you go virtually or in person, let’s recognize the priority of missions. Let’s encourage every Christian to discover their role in God’s great plan to tell everyone about Jesus and His love.
